  About ACHM Hair Replication

The Center's founder, Mark Weston has personally designed the ACHM, which is unlike other "similar" procedures with recent like-sounding names.  The ACHM is neither tattooing nor micropigmentation, but a uniquely designed hybrid method developed by this 30-year tattooing veteran.    The ACHM is a hand-made, custom designed system (patent pending) that truly mimics follicle size with precision and detail which cannot be duplicated by any competitors.   The ACHM  utilizes our own self blend of specially formulated pigments that don't fade, don't turn blue, require no touch ups and can be called permanent.  While some earlier hair replications were not the ACHM (including Mark's first one 18 years ago), this procedure has now been finely perfected.

While most commercially available black pigments contain blue, none of our self blended black pigments contain these blue additives.   So if your natural hair color is dark,  you can rest assured that our black pigments will not turn blue.  In addition, we ascertain the natural undertone of your skin and choose the proper pigment shade that will compliment your skin tone.    Your own natural hair pigment is custom matched, as well as your hair follicle size and blended in.  It is nearly impossible to detect the recreated tattoo area unless examined by touch.

    ACHM Replication Procedure

Upon your arrival, you will be welcomed into a relaxing but highly professional atmosphere.  You will consult with the ACHM developer and The Center's founder himself, Mark Weston.  You will not find cubicles nor "stations" attended by "stylists," employees or trainees in a salon/barber shop production-line setting.  The  Artistry Concepts Hybrid Method (ACHM) is performed in a private procedure room in a sterilized environment.  Therefore,  if your hair needs to be cut for this procedure, we find it highly inappropriate to do so in the procedure room as other providers do.  Your hair will be cut at a different location as to maintain a sterilized environment where your  ACHM will be completed.  Mark Weston will then ascertain your natural hairline or redevelop a new hairline for you depending on your age.   At this time he will also choose the proper pigment color and the custom-made needle size to achieve the closest replication of your hair follicle for the manner in which you wish to wear your hair.  You will also remain an "individual," as you will not receive just a "generic" color as other procedures offer.

The ACHM hair replication is achieved by placing micro points of our own specially formulated pigments into the skin on the scalp, which will accurately and naturally mimic the density of your natural growth.  (See right thumbnail photo enlarged many times). The ACHM  area will be extended down into your remaining hair and blended in to complete the finished and natural look.  The ACHM are individual follicle points placed directly into your scalp.  The   ACHM  allows some of your scalp to be visible, exactly like actual follicles.  Your scalp is not shaded like other procedures.  You will be able to wear your hair closely buzzed or in some cases, at a longer length.  On the average, our replication procedure will last from four to nine hours, depending on the average loss and the additional area to be blended.   The nine hour time frame will be for men who have almost total hair loss.  Full Alopecia clients may take as long as 14 hours.

The ACHM healing process is very simple, about a week.  Typically, most men heal in as little as three to four days.  The ACHM area will look darker until the full curing process is complete, and the color will "cure" (not be be confused with fading) a few shades lighter than it initially appears (like wet paint).  The broken skin from the procedure is also making the area look darker.  You will normally be able to return to your regular schedule the next day, as there is no "down" time.  And better yet, you will not need to return for a touch up weeks, months or years later with our procedure.  The ACHM lasts a lifetime provided you don't continually sunburn your scalp.  What's best, you will not have to bear the financial burden of repeated procedures, as other methods offered.
